During the past twelve years, I've had the opportunity of curating 55+ exhibitions of modern and contemporary art including: painting, drawings, video and film, sculpture, new media, installation art, ceramics, glass, multimedia, printmaking, photography, textiles, and more recently (2011) street and public art. I have also curated exhibitions of ethnographic artifacts, arts and crafts, and Pre-Columbian archaeology.
I'm a former Director of Education at the Museo de Arte de Ponce in Puerto Rico (1997-1999), and was in charge of curating and staging exhibitions as Visual Arts Program Manager for the Lorenzo Homar Gallery at Taller Puertorriqueno, Inc. between 1999 and 2008.
Since 2008 I have been working on a variety of projects as an independent curator and visual arts consultant for collectives, institutions, and organizations throughout Philadelphia and beyond like: US Pavilion 2011 @ the 54th Biennale di Venezia & the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA), Philagrafika 2010, Crane Arts/Icebox International Curatorial Exchange (ICE), Painted Bride Art Center, City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, Drexel University, Moore College of Art and Design, University of the Arts, SINErgy Project Space + Gallery, Highwire Gallery, Philadelphia Experiment (PEX), and others.
